For the first time ever, Dehydration Test app lets you check your current hydration level and dehydration risk with a simple and non-invasive finger scan. The app will not only tell you if your body is hydrated, but in case of dehydration it will let you know how severe your situation is.
Dehydration occurs when you lose (or use) more fluid than you take in, and your body doesnt have enough water and other fluids to carry out its normal functions. If you dont replace the lost fluids, you will get dehydrated.
Common causes of dehydration include vigorous exercise (especially in hot weather), intense diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or excessive sweating. Not drinking enough water during exercise or in hot weather (even if youre not exercising) may also cause dehydration. Anyone may become dehydrated, but young children, older adults, and people with chronic illnesses are most at risk.
The user will be asked to place his finger gently on the phones camera lens for several seconds, then to firmly press down on it with another finger. He will then be asked to release the pressure while keeping the tested finger gently on the lens. With the use of a patent-pending innovative algorithm and advanced image analysis techniques, the system will show the results within moments.
